Our mission

Controlled and rapid biospecimen collection and processing is a requirement for understanding vital biological differences among patients, and for developing targeted drug therapies. Pharmaster’s mission is to promote biomarker discovery and target validation in biomedical research through standardized and ethical collection of human biospecimens. We collect patient samples, plasma, whole blood, serum, urine, saliva, fresh and FFPE tissue and other biological specimens that support research projects within pharma, biotech and academic organizations.

Pharmaster has developed a unique framework that stringently follows highly standardized processes for the collection and preservation of biospecimens. Access to biospecimens has been obtained by complying with the highest ethical standards through approval from ethical committees and institutional review boards within Europe and the US. Patient samples are also coded for anonymity purposes.

Our services include:

  1. Prospective sample collections including procurement of tissues and biofluids
  2. Sample stabilization methods leading to custom-designed protocols for sample preservation
  3. Retrospective sample collections that offer an insight into the natural history of diseases
  4. Clinical and environmental data collection and management
  5. Biomarker discovery services from biospecimen processing and laboratory experiments to bioinformatics analysis in close collaboration with the client

Pharmaster places a strong focus on the client’s needs and requirements. Some of the benefits of collaborating with us include:

  1. Customized tissue collection approach not restricted to a specific disease area
  2. High quality of samples guaranteed through sample-specific, optimized sample collection protocols
  3. Access to an established clinical network comprising of major hospitals in Central Europe
  4. Paperwork and logistical support involved in prospective collection of samples
  5. Our lab services can be further used to pursue molecular analyses of such biospecimens on the DNA, RNA and protein level.
  6. Additional assistance with the entire research project from study design, ethical approval, transportation of biosamples and long term storage as necessary.
